ABOUT US
Our Story - Our Inspiration - Our Brand
In the early 1970s, my father became interested in CB radio. Having served in the U.S. Army Signal Corps during the Cuban Missile Crisis, his job involved communications from operation centers to field positions. Dad loved his work and was passionate about doing the best job possible. A great father and husband, he instilled that work ethic and passion in his family.
During these times our family became aware of Amateur Radio. The whole family took free classes at the local Red Cross building to prepare for a ham radio license. To earn a license, you had to pass a proficiency exam covering basic electronics and Morse code, also known as CW (continuous wave). We attended one class per week to learn about electricity and Morse code. Only my brother, Jack D., KC9MWL, took the test and earned his license. The memory of that family bonding has lasted throughout the years.
Your call sign is a badge of honor. It should be displayed with pride and serve as a testimony to your commitment to help and assist humankind with critical communications in times of need.
That is why this brand and these products are so important to us here at Key Junkies. Show your support for the Amateur Radio service. Start conversations. Recruit and mentor those interested in having fun while serving a vital role during emergencies. You can point to your go bag or shirt and say, “That’s my call sign.”

No one ever said,
"I'd rather be in the office today."

"That tower is high enough.", said no Ham Radio Operator EVER!
